The holiday shopping season is coming to a close, but it’s not too late to add a smile to your customers’ faces – and garner some major brand rapport and last-minute revenue in the process.
How? Here are a few simple but powerful ways.
- Offer them a gift. Wait, what? How will that help me? Little thank-you’s go a long way. Think: offer a $10 gift card towards their next purchase (a lot of people like to shop for themselves after Christmas – yep!) or send out a small sample to your most loyal customers of a favorite product.
- Send out a customer appreciation email. Say “Merry Christmas” (or “Happy Holidays,” to be more PC) to your customer list. Don’t offer a sale, don’t ask for a buy – just say you appreciate them and that you hope they are spending the time with family and friends. Maybe share a holiday photo of your employees, “from our home to yours.” It may not pay off right away, but your customers will appreciate the time you took just to wish them the merriest.
- Run a post-Christmas big holiday sale. Think: 30-50% off for a limited time. Again, people do like to shop after the holiday! Sort of like a post- Christmas treat to themselves for getting through the hustle-and-bustle.
- Do a giveaway. Run this on social media, your website, and through email. Your theme could be something like: “You survived the holidays! Now enter to win something for YOU.”
Now don’t delay – get started on one or more of the above and get ready to finish the year on a strong note with your customers.
